RISD Moving to SchoolCafe for Cafeteria Payments

LUNCH VISITORS SIGNUP

• Prior to visiting, you must sign up to reserve a time/date to have lunch with your child.  (Sign up will be posted at the beginning of the school year)

• Please arrive at the NLE office a few minutes prior to your child’s lunchtime. Make sure to bring your ID - we must scan your ID through our Raptor background check system. Parents will be issued a visitor badge.

• Please give your child's homeroom teacher prior notice that you are coming to eat lunch. The office will call the student to come to the office to escort their parent to the cafeteria.

• When visiting for lunch, you and your child have the option to A. Sit on the stage together or B. Sit at the picnic tables near the teacher parking lot. Lunch visitors may not eat at the cafeteria tables with students. If you choose to eat lunch outside, please check your child back in with the front office when your visit is over. The door nearest the cafeteria must always stay locked. For the safety of all our students, do not prop doors open or allow anyone inside the building.

• Lunch visitors may only eat lunch with their own children. Friends will not be permitted to eat with lunch visitors that are not their parents.

• For capacity reasons, we ask that each student has lunch visitors no more than one time per week. Please allow other families to have a turn.

• We request that parents do not use their cell phones while eating lunch with their child to ensure student privacy as well as quality time with your child. Taking pictures and/or video of students other than the lunch visitor’s own child is absolutely not permitted. Lunch visitors are limited to parents and guardians only. For capacity and safety reasons, we cannot accommodate siblings at this time.
